Our school (Pakruojis “Zemyna” progymnasium from Lithuania) participates in the Erasmus+ project “Green management In schools For Sustainability”. Thanks to this project, new outdoor education spaces are being renovated and created. In May, a barefoot path was installed at the school. On that occasion, a grand opening ceremony of the Barefoot Trail was held. Modesta Tamašauskienė, deputy director for education, presented the ideas and activities of this project. The 5th grade students introduced all the participants to who and why this trail is useful. School director Darius Ramonas and biology teacher Aida Čepulienė cut the ribbon for the opening of the barefoot path. After the ribbon cutting, everyone who wanted could cross this path barefoot. It wasn‘t really easy because pine cones are so sharp.

We invite the entire school community to try this trail and feel its benefits for our body.
