Students has been informed of the importance of their involvement in carrying out activities that ensure a pleasant, efficient climate. Thus, from recyclable textile materials, they can create cushions for classroom windows, ensuring effective thermal insulation, or they can donate these items made by them to needy families.
Students learned about the importance of conserving energy, of sealing windows in ensuring the energy efficiency of the classroom and that double-glazed windows are modern and efficient, but in constructions with wooden frames, cold currents are created that reduce the energy efficiency of the respective rooms. Window cushions can represent a solution for this situation. Placing the cushions on the windowsill, on the inside, helps maintain a warm environment and reduces the production of cold drafts from the windows. As our school has double glazed windows we made these pillows to donate to people who need them.
Students inserted the filling materials into the cylinder bags, sew the opening and decorated the pillow. These are collected and donated.
